As pastors, they both serve Christ Church Academy with their unique roles as Superintendent and Principal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-text-color has-background has-link-color has-x-large-font-size wp-elements-1 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#e4e3d8;background-color:#1a2c57;padding-top:0;padding-bottom:0\">Superintendent Highlight:<br>Pastor Brandon Nealy<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Pastor Brandon Nealy, the founder of Christ Church and Christ Church Academy, is not only a pastor, but also a father and a teacher. He teaches 7-9th grade Greek and 11th-12th grade Rhetoric. Along with these, he has taught High School Humanities, Middle School Composition, and many other classes throughout his life. Pastor Brandon has four kids: Shirah, Adeline, Jude, and Amelia Nealy. His wife is Mrs. Emily Nealy, who has also taught at CCA. Outside of school, Pastor Brandon likes to fish, golf, and cook. Pastor Brandon is essential to CCA, and without him the school wouldn\u2019t be here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>In His Words<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why did you become a teacher?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">My former highschool principal Paul Brinkerhauf called me on the phone and offered me an opportunity to teach Earth Science for Junior High students. I needed a job, and it paid relatively well, so I said yes, and the rest is history.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What\u2019s your favorite thing about being a pastor\/teacher?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">I like that I get to study the Bible everyday.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How long have you been teaching\/pastoring?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">I was first a teacher in 2003; my first pastorate was 2004.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What are all the things you\u2019ve taught?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Earth Science, Grammar, Literature, Bible, History, Logic, Greek, Humanities, and Spanish.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What is your favorite thing to study within the Bible?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">The wisdom literature, specifically the Proverbs.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Students Around School Say&#8230;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPastor Brandon is a wise, funny pastor who cares for his church and family. He is also a great Greek teacher and has the best hair cut.\u201d &#8211; Francis Alexander<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI talked to him but I was really nervous.\u201d &#8211; Piper Bates <em>(K5)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPastor Brandon works at CCA.\u201d &#8211; Arianna Ruiz (<em>1st Grade)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPastor Brandon likes fishing.\u201d &#8211; Adelaide Gilbert (<em>1st Grade)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe preaches God\u2019s word. He works at CCA, great teacher. He likes fishing. He loves his flocks.\u201d &#8211; <em>Unnamed 2nd Grader<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPastor Brandon is funny and good in faith.\u201d &#8211; Loren Carriere (<em>5th Grade)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe&#8217;s good at running stuff.\u201d &#8211; Aria Russo (<em>6th Grade)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPastor Brandon is a good pastor because he used to be a baller and it is funny when he makes basketball references.\u201d &#8211; Oliver Bayliss (<em>6th Grade)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cUncle Bradon <em>(not a typo literally how she spelled it)<\/em> &#8211; He is bald, funny, smart and can surprisingly do the stanky leg.\u201d &#8211; Scarlett Cook (<em>8th Grade)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWell Uncle Bradon <em>(also literally how she spelled it)<\/em> is very funny and he always is very kind, he also is a great Greek teacher except when he gives us tests.\u201d &#8211; Eloise Cook (<em>7th Grade)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe is an amazing Greek teacher because he keeps us on track and keeps the knowledge that we already learned with us. But he keeps it fun and not all work.\u201d &#8211; Claire Palmer (<em>8th Grade)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cFavorite Greek teacher.\u201d &#8211; Johnny Carriere (<em>8th Grade)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPastor Brandon can never get my name right he either calls me my moms name or he calls me Miami. He\u2019s pretty good at Greek though.\u201d &#8211; Maci Mouton (<em>8th Grade)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-text-color has-background has-link-color has-x-large-font-size wp-elements-2 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#e4e3d8;background-color:#1a2c57;padding-top:0;padding-bottom:0\">Principal Highlight:<br>Pastor Scott Guillory<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Pastor Scott is not only a principal, his plate is full with other jobs, as well. He&#8217;s a husband to Mrs. Stacy, who helps with administration. He is a father of six children: Scarlet, Sawyer, Seth, Sierra, Silas, and Savannah. He teaches High School Humanities to the Juniors and Seniors. He is also Christ Church&#8217;s music leader. Along with these things, he still finds the time to teach guitar lessons, learn accordion, and run regularly. This shows how hardworking our principal is. Without Pastor Scott, the school would not be what it is today, and we are blessed to have such a godly principal.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>In His Words<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why did you become a teacher?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Primarily because the school needed a teacher, and he filled the needs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What\u2019s your favorite thing about being a pastor\/teacher?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Seeing people grow spiritually in the Lord, personally, in families, and in their whole lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How long have you been teaching\/pastoring?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Pastor Scott has been a pastor for ten years, and a teacher for seven years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What are all the things you\u2019ve taught?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Pastor Scott has taught Music, Voice, Guitar, Latin, and Humanities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What is your favorite thing to study within the Bible?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">How biblical law applies to us today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Students Around School Say&#8230;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe sings good.\u201d &#8211; Piper Bates (<em>K5)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe feels like he owns the place.\u201d &#8211; Otis Davidson\u00a0(<em>1st Grade)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPastor Scott is brave.\u201d &#8211; Adelaide Gilbert (<em>1st Grade)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI like him because he\u2019s cool, funny, deep in faith and he\u2019s my friend&#8217;s dad.\u201d &#8211; Loren Carriere (<em>5th Grade)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMy dad taught me how to speak and understand, he always makes me laugh.\u201d &#8211; S. Guillory (<em>5th or 6th Grade)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe is a great principal! He\u2019s nice but a bit scary.\u201d &#8211; Autumn Carriere (<em>7th Grade)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe can play a lot of instruments really well, he is a little scary but not really and he is a good principal!\u201d &#8211; Anonymous Student<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPastor Scott, thank you for teaching me about Jesus Christ and every single school day I look forward to hearing your devotional or Mr. Jordan\u2019s and I\u2019m thankful to have a pastor like you.\u201d &#8211; Avery Page (<em>5th Grade)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;I love Uncle Scott because he does the best things for me and his whole family and loves us too.&#8221; &#8211; Kenley Roseberry (<em>1st Grade HS)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhen Pastor Scott preaches he preaches like he\u2019s preaching so children can understand and adults can learn.\u201d- Rachel Walling (<em>5th Grade)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI like his sense of humor.\u201d &#8211; Hartley Page (<em>6th Grade)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe preaches well and loves his kids.\u201d &#8211; Sebastian Carriere (<em>6th Grade)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPastor Scott is kind and generous. Great at his job. He enjoys powersports such as dirt-biking and go-karting. His favorite subject so far has been Math. After his first and final year as a CCA student, his favorite memory was hiking at Kisatchie with 7th &#8211; 12th grade. His short-term goals are to finish writing a speech and have lunch. Long-term, he wants to become a Mechanical Engineer and develop cars. His favorite verse is Joshua 1:9, \u201cHave I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Her family later moved to Lafayette, Louisiana. She is one of five in her family, being the second youngest. Jessica loves to crochet, read, listen to music, Cajun dance, drive, and to spend time with her best friend and sister, Jaeda. Science is her number one favorite subject, but Public Speaking has been her favorite class this year. She enjoyed the freedom of fun topics. The future holds so much for her and she is most excited to work and do what the Lord has called her to do. He is 17 years old and his hobbies include playing guitar, weight lifting, and eating. His favorite subject is Public Speaking. Lucas\u2019s favorite memory of CCA is playing football with the boys. This was Madie\u2019s first year at CCA, and she has quickly grown in our hearts as a loving friend. Madie enjoys crochet, hanging out with friends, Cajun dancing, and watching movies. Her favorite subject this year has been Economics because &#8220;it&#8217;s actually something I can use.&#8221; She plans to continue working and saving to go Cosmetology school, but most importantly, she wants to be a wife and a mother. She was born and raised in south Louisiana. While at home Addy usually draws, plays violin, tends to her cows, or gardens.
